Candidates in financial, IT, medical and pharmaceutical sectors were most active in finding new job

The overall job number for which candidates could apply on the online BestJobs recruiting platform in November recorded a 5% increase compered to the same period of 2019, in the context in which many employers were trying to hire white collar and blue collar employees.

 

In November the total number of jobs for which candidates could apply on BestJobs recorded a 5% increase compared to the same period of 2019, in the context in which many employers were trying to hire  white collar  and blue collar employees. More than half (52%) of overall jobs  activated in November  were in the whit collar category, 29% were in the blue collar category, while 19% were jobs for management and team coordination positions,” the company mentioned.

 

Candidates with most job applications belonged to the 25-34 year category (33.9%), followed by those aged between 35 and 44 (22.8%). The interest of young people aged between 18 and 25 to apply for a job dropped by 40% compared to the same period of 2019.

 

Candidates from Bucharest, Timis, Iasi and Brasov were the most active in looking for a new job. The top is headed by Bucharest-Ilfov ( over 70,000 applications), Timis (over 14,000 applications), Cluj Napoca ( about 8,000 applications), Iasi and Brasov (over 6,000 applications each).

 

At  the same time, in November, women were  most interested in finding a job, with 52.5% job applications.

 

Candidates in the financial, IT, medical and pharmaceutical domains were most active in looking for a new job, last month.The first three positions in the top of searchings made by Romanian candidates in November  are held by jobs in the IT, medical and pharmaceutical fields, with about 60,000 inquiries.

 

The top of companies with most applications was headed in November by Enel (3,462 applicants), Alpha Bank Romania (2,374 applicants), Genpact (2,199 applicants), UniCredit Bank (2,000 applicants) and Elefant.ro (1,966 applicants).
