CCIB will organize economic mission in Latin America in the Fall
Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) will organize an economic mission in Latin America this Fall, so that the Romanians business community should be able to identify new business partners and turn to account business opportunities, especially in the industrial field, CCIB informs in a press release.
CCIB president Sorin Dimitriu met Maria Eugenia Echeverria Herrera, the ambassador of Peru to Bucharest, who was accompanied by Luis Alberto Castro Joo, councillor minister and first collaborator of the Embassy and by Eduardo Samaniego, the president of Peru-Romania Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIPR). The ambassador informed the Romanian party that a delegation of Peruvian businessmen headed by CCIPR president will make a working visit to Romania in September and pointed out the event could be the basis of organizing the “Peruvian Product Week in Bucharest.”
In Peru there is interest in industrial products made in Romania, especially submersible pumps for mining, train engines and cars, railway, tramways, micro hydropower plants, turbines, farm equipment, windows, building materials, transport installations for natural gas.
Exports of 7.1 million dollars to Peru were recorded in 2017, representing a 44.5% increase against the same period of 2016. On the other hand, there were imports of 2.4 million dollars from Peru, 24.2% more than in the previous year.
Overall commercial exchanges in 2017 were 9.5 million dollars, 38.7% more than in the previous year, without exceeding the level of bilateral commercial exchanges of 10.7 million dollars made in 2014, of which 7.6 million dollars export and 3.1 million dollars imports, the highest level reached in the last six years.
