CONAF: Romania has taken concrete steps in digitization area, but lags behind in European rankings

Romania has taken concrete steps in the digitization area but, although there is progress, our country is lagging behind in the European rankings, and this is a reason for projects like #ITforENERGY to continue, according to a press release from National Confederation for Entrepreneurship (CONAF).

The Oil and Gas Employers' Federation (FPPG) and the Entrepreneur Women's Association (PFA), a member of the National Confederation for Entrepreneurship (CONAF), organized on Friday the final conference within the #ITforENERGY project.

The participants emphasized the importance of the active involvement of employers' organizations and professional associations in projects dedicated to digitization, so that the rate of absorption of European funds increases.

"It is important that when we talk about digitization programs, we consider as eligible organizations that operate in the employer's area. It is extremely important to coagulate and support the business environment so that projects like #ITforENERGY, which have a direct impact, are managed, accessed and implemented by at least one entity that is from the employer or associative area. Through the partnerships concluded, with a significant base of members, we managed to implement these absolutely necessary digitization courses for companies operating in the private sector and with real benefits for entrepreneurs who understand that we need to increase the level of digitization in Romania. Our need to do something for the business environment started with the Pact for Work, started four years ago, together with FPPG", said Cristina Chiriac, PFA president.
