EUROPAfest Summer Edition
After the success registered by the 26th edition of the EUROPAfest - jazz, blues, pop and classic, organized in May in Bucharest and Sibiu, jmEvents and Jeunesses & Dinu Lipatti organize the summer edition of the festival in Sinaia from July 18th to 30th. EUROPAfest Summer Edition, organized in partnership with the Sinaia City Hall, the Peles Museum and the Mara Hotel, has become a long-awaited tradition for both locals and tourists. The agenda includes concerts of classical music, jazz and the Summer Music Academy Sinaia - Dinu Lipatti. The festival has a 2-week duration and features artists from ten countries: Great Britain, USA, Germany, France, Belgium, Poland, Turkey, Brazil, Bulgaria and Romania.
Luigi Gageos, director of the festival, said: "With this festival we wanted to get out of concert halls and bring classical and jazz music to the public. We are glad to see that we have created a tradition in Sinaia, that people plan their vacation or spending their free time depending on the festival date. The Academy has also become a point of reference for young musicians who want to work with professors from the most prestigious music faculties in Europe and the US. "
Summer Music Academy Sinaia - Dinu Lipatti is an international instrumental training stage at the highest standards with a tradition of 13 years organized for violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, chamber music and jazz. 5 of these editions took place in France, 2019 being the 8th year in which the program is organized in Romania, at Sinaia. The workshops and the classes are led by famous artists and professors from prestigious European and American academies.
In the previous editions the academy invited renown professors from the Royal Academy of Music London, Conservatoire National Superior Paris, Scuola Universitaria di Musica in Lugano and Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne, Nantes Conservatory, the University of Music in Cork, the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Hochschule für Musik Berlin, Lille Conservatory, National University of Music Bucharest.
Over 450 musicians from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan-China, UK and USA have already benefited from Summer Music Academy Sinaia - Dinu Lipatti courses.
It is said that once a year, in the summer, stories come to life. Sinaia, the stone paved city with paths that lead to the Castle, with royalty stories and idyllic scenery - the long-dreamt holiday place. Here, it is said that yesterday and tomorrow have met today, in the present, and since then they are telling stories. Summer Music Academy Sinaia is part of the international festival EUROPAfest Summer Edition. Through its events, the festival gives you the opportunity to taste the magic of the place, a city at the base of mountains, called "The Touristic Pearl of the Carpathians". Sinaia invites you to live, for a few days, in her everlasting present, enjoying musical chords, away from the city buzz.
