French Embassy organizes project contest capitalizing young initiatives

The Embassy of France in Romania and the French Institute suggested to co-finance up to 5,000 euros for projects of youth organizations and NGOs that capitalize civic initiatives launched by young people and for young people, a press release informs.

Projects should propose innovating and collective actions for certain topics, encouraging public authorities to take into account young people's preoccupations in elaborating policies that concern them.

The project contest has two stages: civic initiatives and organizing a civic hackathon and each contestant must choose only one of them.

Eligibility conditions and other data are available on the Embassy website. Registration deadline is February 25.

An expert jury made of Florin Stoican, the chairman of Kogayon association, Rares Voicu, the vicepresident of the National Students' Council and Elena Calistru, the president and co-founder of Funky Citizens association will deliberate in March 2020 and decide on the winning projects.
