According to him, the package of economic measures adopted by Romania in the period of emergency state concentrated on maintaining jobs and supporting the most affected economic sectors.
“We will keep the support for granting technical unemployment after May 14, but we will also introduce new measures about flexible work, allowing sectors affected directly or indirectly to resume activity, with the obvious purpose of preserving jobs. We will continue to apply state aid, like the one for small and medium size companies, but we will have in view support for large companies which were affected by the crisis and whose contribution is essential for relaunching economy,”the president declared.

Quality Romanian products represent, in their turn, a resource which we will promote and we will support significant investments in economic sectors of strategic interest such as agriculture and food industry, energy and food security. The modernization and digitization of administration will also continue,” Iohannis said.
The head of state says the partnership is very important for a period of deep crisis like the one we are crossing now.”
“Romania will get out of crisis in one piece. My firm conviction is that the partnership between authorities and the private environment, based on constant and transparent dialogue is the path to economic relaunch and durable development. This thing is the more important in a period of deep crisis we experience now,” said the president after meeting the businessmen.
