Miniser Borc : Romania is in an encouraging economic situation but it still faces reliability issues
Romania is in an encouraging economic situation but it still faces reliability issues both domestically and externally generated by the lack of coherence in implementing the public programmes, stated on Wednesday the minister of economy, commerce and relations with the business environment (MECRMA) Costin Borc in a specialty conference.
According to him, the main cause of mistrust is represented by the lack of coherence and continuity in the public policies and programmes, determined by electoral changes.
‘I consider that our responsibility is to regain the trust, both of the Romanians and of our foreign partners with the help of a coherent approach of economic development’ the vicepremier Borc said.
He mentioned, in this context, the programme Competitive Romania for which the government together with other institutional partners have been working for several months with measures meant to lead to sustainable economic growth of 5% per year until 2020.
According to Borc, the strategy includes the stimulation of the production wherever in Romania and the change of the growth model from consumption and production fiscal measures.
‘These principles which unite all objectives and measures are accessibility and interconnection which refer, at the same time, to the connection through physical infrastructure of the big development centres with the rural area and the digital networks which simplify the rules for those who want to develop a business in Romania’ Costin Borc said.
The official said that at present, the document is in its final stage to be approved in the ministries and at the beginning of November the results will be announced.
