Romanian MFE hires seven EIB experts to provide consultancy on transports and environment projects implementing

The European Funds Ministry (MFE) signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for hiring seven EIB experts for improving the implementing of the projects in the transports and environment sectors, funded from European funds.

The value of the agreement signed stands at 7.5 million euros, an amount covering the payment of the experts over a two-year period, but also the payment of some services engaged by EIB with third parties, reads a MFE release. The agreement is funded from European funds, through the Technical Assistance Operational Programme.

The EIB experts will provide consultancy to the Management Authority of the Sectoral Operational Programme Transports, the Department for Infrastructure Projects and Foreign Investments, the Management Authority of the Sectoral Operational Programme Environment, but also to MFE.

They will work as independent consultants and will provide support in all the stages of project implementing in the mentioned sectors: from the offer launching to the facility exploitation.

EIB Vice President Mihai Tanasescu, European Funds Minister Eugen Teodorovici, Transports Minister Ramona Manescu, Environment and Climate Changes Minister Rovana Plumb, namely the representative of the Department for Infrastructure Projects and Foreign Investments, Secretary of State Alexandru Nastase, signed the agreement on Tuesday.
