Survey Romanian Business Club: 74% of the companies will need to use laying-offs due to the pandemics
Romanian Business Club launched a survey among the SMEs in the industries seriously affected by the context COVID-19 out of which resulted 74% of the interviewees and take into consideration the reduction of the number of employees for survival during this period.
According to a press release, the survey aimed at companies in such domains: events organization, education, entertainment, etc.
The results of the survey, made among 200 companies, show that the economic situation made by the measures of the authorities in the context of the COVId-19 virus is one extremely worrying.
Thus, 75% of the interviewees stated that they are seriously affected by the new situation, while 74% of them take into account the reduction of the number of employees to survive this period.
Taking into consideration the sudden character of the pandemics, only 30% of the companies managed to have a business strategy meant to help them to overcome the crisis,while 40% of the companies consider they will be able to go on for a period of maximum a month from their own sources, and 35% of them think they can survive between 3 and 6 months.
The 200 interviewees, companies with a turnover of over 60 million euro, use the state institutions and ask for their help to overcome the crisis. Waiving taxation is considered as a solution by 44% of the companies, while 23% think that the state could offer them financing.
Horeca Insight, the online platform of the hospitality industry, one of the main organizers of events in the domain, started to get together all entrepreneurs who are affected by the restrictions imposed by the authorities.This initiative comes from the fact that the HORECA industry is ‘ one of the most seriously affected and wants to unite efforts to require concrete solutions on the part of the Romanian state to overcome the situation and to find together the best solutions.
Romanian Business Club is a community of entrepreneurs with extension at national level, getting together 1,150 companies. The Club means meeting where members exchange experience and networking of quality.
