Ten Romanian software and service companies participate on May 13-15 in the Tech4Export

Ten Romanian software and service companies will participate on May 13-15 in the Tech4Export, an event initiated and coordinated by the Employers' Association of the Software and Services Industry (ANIS) to promote this industry and the Romanian companies among the possible international partners in London, a release of ANIS announced on Wednesday.

The project benefits of a partnership with techUK, a representative organization of the British technology companies, with the Romanian Embassy in the United Kingdom and with the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC).

The Romanian delegates in London will visit the Level39 technology accelerator. ANIS President Andrei Pitis will present the collaboration opportunities offered by Romania to British companies and the development trends of the Romanian software industry. Within this context, the Romanian companies have an opportunity to present their services to an audience of British retail, telecom and healthcare companies.

According to official statistics, Romanian exports of computer and communication services in 2014 amounted to 49 billion lei, or 6 percent of Romania's GDP.

Under the Tech4Export programme, ANIS has organized a similar event in Austria in 2014, with the support of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and of the Romanian Embassy in Vienna, and a visit to Apps World in London, alongside the BRCC.

ANIS represents the interest of Romanian IT companies; it supports the development of the Romanian software and services industry and the growth of companies involved in outsourcing or generating intellectual property by creating products. The association was founded in 1998 and now it has over 120 members, including Romanian and foreign companies, either small or multinational, with offices in all the large IT centres in Romania, which makes it representative on national level.
