The capital city will have in 2016 economic growth of 3.8% and the GDP/capita of 22,215 euro
Bucuresti could record economic growth of 3.8% this year and 4.3% in 2017 and 2018 and GDP/capita is going to increase at 22,215 euro in 2016, 23,895 euro next year and 25,675 euro in 2018, according to the projection of the main economic-social indicators at territorial level, published by the National Commission for Prognosis.
In the previous variant of the prognosis CNP estimated an increase of GDP of 4.1% for 2016 and 2017 and 4.3% for 2018.
CNP estimates, at the same time, an increase of the average number of employees in Bucharest with 2.3% in 2016 and 2.4% in 2017 and a rate of unemployment of 2% and 1.9% respectively.
The average net salary is estimated at 2,992 lei in 2016 up by 9% against the previous year, and at 3,048 lei in 2017 (plus 5.8%).
At national level, the National Commission for Prognosis estimates for this year an increase of GDP of 4.2%, the most important increase to be recorded in the region of South Muntenia (4.5%)Sud-Vest Oltenia (4.4%) and Sud-East (4.4%). For 2017, it is estimated an economic growth of 4.3% and for 2018 4.5%.
