The Chamber of Commerce: business people worried about the risk of changes in institutions connected to parties
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) condemned on Wednesday the decision of the National Council of the Audiovisual (CAN) to sanction the channel Realitatea TV with closing down their emission and expressed the worries of the business community in Romania against the changes in some public institutions.
‘CCIR considers that the arbitrary decisions of the CNA are profoundly damanging for the media market in Romania’ mentions the press release quoted.
The CNA decision is so much unjustified as the multiple violence acts made by some gendarmes against the citizens at the protest are recorded and they are no impossible to be contested by any person were supported by the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce.
‘We consider that any arbitrary sanction taken by CNA as any moment of inaction against obvious breaches of the law of the audiovisual suggests the existence of some double standards which will keep away from Romania important investors in the sector of radio and television. We draw the attention that in the business community in Romania there is concern connected to the risk of changing some institutions in parts of the political parties. Such a phenomenon, extremely damaging through its effects in an economic way is a risk factor taken into consideration for each major decision for investments’ the CCIR representatives said.
