The Martisor Fair- from Thursday to Sunday at the Muzeul Taranului Roman
The Martisor Fair at the Muzeul Taranului which takes place in the courtyard of the museum starting with Thursday to Sunday wants to bring to the attention of the public varied categories of ‘martisoare’. Similarly to the previous years, among the participants to this year’s fair there are schools, foundations, associations, organizations which develop actions of humanitarian character and support for categories of underprivileged people.
Taken from the urban world at the beginning of the 20th century and turned into fashion, worn a? necklace and jewelry, kept on the bosom or on the wrist, received as souvenir or as present, Martisorul survives in different forms up to the present day, from the simple thread red and white to the virtual martisor, states the representatives of the Muzeul Taranului.
