Tourism : Borsa, Dambovicioara, Mamaia Nord area, Padina Cave area become tourist resorts of national interest

The towns of Borsa (Maramures County) and Dambovicioara (Arges County), along with the Mamaia Nord - Navodari (Constanta County) and the Padina Cave area in Moroeni (Dambovita County) have been created tourist resorts of national interest under a government decision advocated by the Ministry of Tourism at a government meeting on Thursday.

According to a press statement released by the Ministry of Tourism, the decision also turns into tourist resorts of local interest to the towns of Cacica, Dorna Candrenilor, Poiana Stampei, Solca (Suceava County) and Oncesti (Maramures County).

Until now, 43 tourist resorts of national interest and 57 local interest stations have been certified in Romania.

"This decision has a special significance for local governments. All towns created tourist resorts of national or local interest will qualify for higher scoring when applying for regional funding," according to the statement.
