The French Film Festival, at the 22 nd edition, is organized over April 24- May 6, in the towns of Arad, Brasov, Bucuresti, Buzau, Cluj Napoca, Constanta, Iasi, Sfantu Gheorghe and Timisoara.

“Inspired by the symbolical protests of May 1968, the French Film Festival will choose spring , which will become the official season,”organizers informed in an official press release.

At the anniversary of 50 years since the big protests which created intellectual and social mutations in France and throughout western Europe, the Festival suggests Focus May’68. Important fiction movies, such as “Milou in May”by Louis Malle, or original documentaries like “Die at 30” by

Romain Goupil or the famous “Revolution Floats in the Air”by Chris Marker, will help the Romanian public to understand the context of events better. More time will be granted to discussions - more young French directors will meet the Romanian public to debate their artistic ideas and actions. Guests present in Bucharest will include Marine Francen, the director of “Seeds”and Vincent Macaigne, the director of “According to and Consolation”, as well as Mona Walravens, actress in “Girls’ Team”by Julien Hallard, present in Cluj and Timisoara over May 3-6.
