2018 Start-Up Nation programme application to be available as of 27 December

The application for signing-up with the Start-Up Nation 2018 programme opens on 27 December 2018 and it's available for 30 business days, a release of the Ministry for Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship informs.

The non-reimbursable financial allocation, worth a maximum of 200,000 lei per beneficiary, can represent 100 percent of the value of eligible costs (including the VAT for non-payer companies) related to the project.

The score of the business plan will be calculated in real time and in a transparent manner, according to the rating scale. The minimum score to be accepted in view of administrative checking and eligibility is 50 points out of a maximum of 100 possible points.

"The IT platform is ready to start the signing-up. I encourage entrepreneurs to submit sustainable business plans and assess very correctly the number of jobs created, because, I draw attention, that the score encourages the purchase of technology equipment. The Start-Up Nation will be a simple and intuitive programme with less bureaucracy. The entrepreneur should deal with his business, not go carry around papers," Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship Minister Stefan-Radu Oprea said.

The Start-up Nation 2018 programme is intended for companies set up after 30 January 2017 that operate in production, creative industries, services and trade. In order to qualify for the program the companies must create at least one full-time job for an indefinite period and maintain the position filled for at least two years after the completion of the project's implementation.

The application for signing-up with the Start-Up Nation programme was tested between 14 and 16 December. A number of 2,477 users tested the application having the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the sections of the online business plan and contributed, through comments and questions, to the latest adjustments and completion of the IT platform, the Ministry mentioned.
