Almost 13,700 companies were dissolved in the first five months of this year
The number of dissolved companies increased by 19.56% in the first five months of this year, to 13,694, compared to 11,454 in the same period of 2021, according to data centralized by the National Office of the Trade Register (ONRC).
The most dissolutions were registered in Bucharest, respectively 2,551 companies (increasing by 19.82%), and in the counties of Constanta (686, + 28.46%), Cluj (658, + 34.01%), Timis (600, + 12.36%) and Ilfov (568, + 32.71%).
At the opposite end, the least dissolutions of companies were recorded in Ialomita, respectively 65 (+ 1.16%), Covasna (75, + 2.6%), Mehedinti (86, + 26.47%) and Calarasi (95, + 5.56%).
The field of activity that registered the most dissolutions of companies, in the first four months of this year, is the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, where 4,243 dissolutions were registered at national level. Compared to the similar period of the previous year, the dissolutions in this sector increased by 24.03%.
According to the quoted source, constructions, professional, scientific and technical activities as well as the manufacturing industry are other fields of activity where a large number of company dissolutions were recorded, namely 1,261 (+ 18.52%), 1,201 (+ 8.10%), respectively 1,194 (+ 17.64%).
