Head of Vodafone group: For the moment we focus on mobile phones in Romania
The British group Vodafone concentrates on the moment on the Romanian market only for mobile phone operations, without excluding a possible future accord allowing it to add fix and television services, said Vittorio Colao, the company CEO at a meeting with the media at Mobile World Congress fair in Barcelona, Ziarul Financiar informs.
Vodafone, the second player in the mobile telephone market in Romania offering fix services only to big business customers, registered service incomes of 174 million euros in 2015, 5% higher, on the background of the 6% increase of the total number of clients to 9.1 millions.
At present, only Telekom group and cable company RCS&RDS are offering completed fix-mobile service packages. Orange is expected to join the market, offering fix services by using Telekom services.
Colao denied that Vodafone had talked with Americans from Liberty Global (UPC) about an operation merger like in Holland and other European countries.
“At the moment we are not negotiating with Liberty Global such transactions about other markets”, he concluded.(Source:http://www.zf.ro/)
