Microsoft extends partnership with Romania’s Bitdefender to global level
Microsoft has extended its partnership with Romanian cybersecurity and anti-virus software company Bitdefender to a global level, Gabriela Matei, General Manager, Microsoft Romania announced at the 2017 Microsoft Summit in Bucharest, business-review.eu informs.
“The strategic partnership with Romanian company Bitdefender to will extend important security features also to non Microsoft devices”, Matei said.
“We are happy to announce the transformation of our collaboration to a global one, in the enterprise space”, Mihai Guran, Vice President EMEA Sales, Bitdefender told the audience. “We will extend our solutions to cover multiple platforms for customers”, he explained.
According to Guran, systems are now facing advanced threats. “Traditionally, end point vendors were offering protection through security layers, such as firewalls, encryption and more. But lately, well trained and well funded government actors are becoming actors in this cyber war”, he explained. “Bitdefender was selected because we have a leadership position, we are one of the best if not the best performance in the world in terms of detection”, he added.
“We are also a user of Microsoft technologies in the cloud and one of the first companies to use Microsoft Dynamics in the cloud,” Guran said of Microsoft’s line of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management software applications. “It’s a productive partnership already and I look forward to seeing some of us come and ask us for solutions,” he told the audience at the Microsoft Summit.
