ONRC: Company dissolutions, up almost 9 pct in January 2020

The number of dissolved companies increased by 8.98 pct, in January 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year, to 2,730, compared to 2,505 companies in January 2019, according to data centralized by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).

The field of activity that registered the most dissolutions of companies in January 2020 is wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, where there were 784 dissolutions at national level. Compared to the same period of 2019, the dissolutions in this sector rose by 1.16 pct.

Constructions and the manufacturing industry are two other fields of activity where a large number of company dissolutions was registered, namely 272 and 248.
