The government sets up nine regional agencies for SMEs, drawing investments and support of exports
An emergency ordnance adopted on last Friday by the government includes the reorganisation of the territorial offices for SMEs in regional agenices which will have as role not only the support of the small and medium entreprises as well as the drawing of the investments and stimulation of exports.
The document sets up nine territorial agencies in Bucuresti, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Craiova, Iasi, Ploiesti, Targu Mures and Timisoara which can apply the support programmes for setting up and developing small and medium entreprises, including Start-Up Nation – Romania launched on 15 June 2017.
‘The nine agencies will be set up by the reorganisation of the eight territorial offices for SMEs and will activate under the aegis of the ministry for the business environment, commerce and entrepreneurship. Moreover, as compared to the present organisation, there will be set up an agency in Bucuresti, which will take over from the territorial office for SMEs Ploiesti the activity for the capital city and Ilfov’ says the press office of the government.
The agencies will have extended duties, including the drawing of investments and the promotion of exports. ; For 2017, there is an estimate of over 10,000 entrepreneurs who will benefit from national programmes for SMEs. By comparison, in 2016 the territorial offices for SMEs verified, contracted, paid and monitored a number of 990 beneficiaries. Since the launching of the programme ‘ Start-up Nation – Romania’ until now, 13:00 our time, a number of 3,172 entrepreneurs presented business plans for this programme.
