The turnover of the Farmexim group/Help Net has increased last year by 12% at 734.2 million euro
The Farmexim group/Help Net part of Phoenix Group had last year a turnover of 734.2 million euro, up by 12% against the previous year.
‘The Farmexim group/Help Net, part of Phoenix Group contributed positively to the good results of the German company, registering in 2020 a turnover of 734.2 million euro, which is an increase of 12% against the previous year. For the Farmexim/Help Net, 2020 was one of intense growth, both organically and through acquisitions’ the group announced.
At the end of the year, the group had over 3,000 employees in Romania, divided into three lines of business : distribution, retail and services for the producers of pharma. The growth was due, mainly, to the integration of 146 drugstores in the Help Net network through acquisitions as well as through new units.
‘The German group Phoenix Group consolidated its position of leader in the distribution of medicine and pharma retail in Europe, in the challenging financial year 2020/21, strongly affected by the Covid-19 pandemics’ the group says.
Phoenix Group reported growth of 3.2% of the turnover and increased its operational performance by 4% and EBIDTA by 8.3%. Sales got to 28.2 billion euro,the total operational performance got to 35.9 billion euro and EBITDA increased at 653.4 million euro.
‘We managed to increase sales and increase our revenue over the last financial year, despite the fluctuations on the demand. In collaboration with the drugstores, we managed to surpass the peak period even during the pandemics’ says Sven Seidel, the chairman of the Board of Phoenix Pharma SE,
Farmexim is the first importer and distributor of pharma products set up in 1990 in Romania, with 800 employees and with national coverage through the logistic centre in Balotesti and the ten working points in the main cities of the country’: Timi?oara, Oradea, Cluj, Sibiu, Bra?ov, Constan?a, Gala?i, Ia?i, Ploie?ti and Craiova.
Set up in 1998, the Help Net company operates one of the biggest pharma networks in Romania. The Help Net drugstores are in the top three pharma networks in Romania, with over 400 units opened at national level and approximately 2,500 employees.
Farmexim and Help Net has been part of the German company Phoenix Group since 2018, European leader in integrated health services. The group has its presence in 27 countries and over 39,000 employees.
The German company has developed Phoenix Pharmacy Partnership, the most important European network of cooperation programmes, with13,500 independent drugstores in 13 programmes and 16 countries.
