The Zentiva profit dropped with 16.5% in Q1
The pharma producer Zentiva ( SCD on BVB) reported in Q1 a profit of 35.95 million lei, with 16.5 % less than the result of the previous period of last year, of 43.04 million lei, according to the non-audited report published at BVB.
The turnover of the first six months dropped with approximately 3% at 222.12 million lei from 228.56 million lei at the end of June 2017.
The total debt was at the end of Q1 was 160,66 million lei by comparison to 129.01million lei at the end of December 2017.
The company has approximately 500 employees.
Sicomed SA Bucuresti was set up in 1962 as Intreprinderea de Medicamente Bucuresti (IMB). In 1990 Sicomed became a joint company through merger and take over of the IMB. Starting with 24th January 2006 the company changed its name from Sicomed to Zentiva SA.
During the Q1 of this year Zentiva NV acquired 11.6% of the Zentiva SA shares from the minority shareholders.
Zentiva (SCD on BVB) is controlled by the French pharma group Sanofi and has a market value of 1.359 billion lei.
The main shareholders of Zentiva are the Venoma Holdings Limited from Cyprus with 50.98% from the shares and Zentiva NV from Netherlands with 35.51% of the shares.
