Adecco: in Q1 2017 there was an increase by 40% of recruitment in Romania

2017 had the best start of the last decade, from the perspective of recruitment  volumes, being recorded in Q1 a growth of over 40% of the  recruitment  against the same period of last year, and the deficit of personnel is found on all domains, especially in IT, according to the data published on Friday by the supplier of solutions for the work market Adecco.

Monthly, Adecco considers that they process over 700 demands and places approximately 400 candidates to the clients in Romania through all recruitment divisions. The growth of the work market which overcomes even the growth of the GDP of 5.7% in the first three months, is supported by the rapid development of the global economy and that national one according to Adecco.

In this context, many businesses migrate to Romania and the multinationals present here develop their existing business while the deficit of personnel in the IT area is over 35%, considers one of the managers ofAdecco, Marga Radu.

‘The deficit in the IT area, at all levels  surpassed 35% against the demand and the faculties cannot cope with delivering candidates enough with relevant competences. In the Finance area, trading processes there is a relative lack of candidates with experience – any moment there are approximately 1,200 open positions, new or replacement in sales/support increased the demand of the candidates who know at least 2-3 foreign languages’ Marga Radu said in the press release.

The technology and the rationalisation of the costs push the companies to digitalisation and this transition  increases the demand for specialists in the domain of data analysis, IT products and social media. Positions such as Master Data, product and social media specialist have become in high demand against the previous years, according to Adecco. In the domain of IT there is an increase of approximately 10% against the previous year but the  companies in the domain focus on  projects and technologies which involve the employees.

‘Many clients tell us that we have salaries almost equal to those in western Europe in the domain of IT but the growth will continue, then investments in Romania can be reconsidered. However, the interest for Romania and its local competences is growing, monthly we meet new investors’ Marga Radu said.

Adecco estimates that the recruitment market will grow and the services become more complex to focus on personalised solutions. In 2017, the company comes with a dedicated service of Employer branding and soon there will be another brand of the Adecco group dedicated to positions of specialists, management and top management.

The number of unemployed dropped in the fourth month of this year, with 7,087 against the previous month up to 470,887, the new minimum   level of 1994 since there have been statistics on this theme and the rate of unemployment kept at 5.3% for the fourth month in a row, show the data published recently by the National Institute for Statistics(INS).
