Alejandro Hajdenberg, the new IMF's resident representative in Romania and Bulgaria
Alejandro Hajdenberg replaces Guillermo Tolosa as International Monetary Fund (IMF) resident representative in Romania and Bulgaria, informs a release of the IMF Resident Representative Office in Romania sent on Wednesday.
"Alejandro Hajdenberg was appointed to take over as IMF's resident representative in Romania and Bulgaria. He replaces Guillermo Tolosa, who came to the end of his term, according to IMF's staff rotation policy," informs the release.
Prior to this appointment, Hajdenberg has worked as senior desk economist with the IMF Office in Cyprus, where he played an important role in the financial assistance program launched after the 2013 crisis.
His experience also includes positions with the international financial institution in Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Colombia, Uruguay and Georgia. Prior to joining the IMF European Department, Hajdenberg spent six years with the Fiscal Affairs Department, where he handled many problems related to fiscal policies.
Alejandro Hajdenberg, holder of a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago, has been working with the IMF for 13 years now.
