Ambassador Auer: the renewal of the roadmap for the Strategic Partnership makes the relationship Romania –France unique and privileged
The ambassador of France to Romania, Laurence Auer is talking in an interview offered to Agerpres about the visit of premier Ludovic Orban to Paris, appreciating that the new roadmap which refers to the Strategic Partnership makes the relationship between the two countries ‘ unique and privileged’.
The French diplomat reiterates the support of France for Romania’s accession to the Schengen Area after the latter is reformed, and as for the economic level, she mentions the importance of good governance of business, so that ‘the decisions (…) be transparent, if it is about bids, contracts attribution or rules connected to the banking circuit’.
‘ All important companies (French ones – e.n.)are represented in Romania, in all sectors (…).Now, these companies, through CCIFER, the Chamber of Commerce are ready to support the arrival in sectors less important in the past, but which will become important in the future. I am thinking about biological agriculture, sustainable one , or alternative methods of transport’ Laurence Auer said.
Islamist terrorist attacks, outbreak of indescribable violence
France has witnessed two Islamist terrorist attacks in the past two weeks, an outbreak of indescribable violence, French Ambassador to Romania Laurence Auer said, adding that her country will not give in to "any spirit of terror".
"First, a teacher, Samuel Paty, was killed while doing his job, teaching the students. Yesterday, again, in a church in Nice, a knife attack by a terrorist killed three innocent people. As the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron also said, through these coward attacks, the whole nation was attacked," Laurence Auer told Agerpres.
She stressed the importance of freedom of expression and respect for life.
"We receive the solidarity of our partner countries and friends with gratitude. We feel united in saying that we will not give in to any spirit of terror. Our sheer determination is to remember our values of freedom of expression and respect for life," Laurence Auer specified.
