BNR changes interests for minimal mandatory reserves

Romania's Central Bank (BNR) increased to 2.50 from 2.35 percent the interests it grants the commercial banks for their minimal mandatory RON reserves, and to 1.35 from 1,15 percent for the euro ones. The annual interest rate for the minimal mandatory USD reserve was kept at 1.20 percent. The banks must deposit with BNR, by Jan 23, as minimal mandatory reserves, 20 percent of their RON liabilities, and 40 percent of the hard currency ones with residual due date shorter than two years, ...
