Bucharest GreenSounds Festival will take place between August 26 and 28 in Herastrau Park

Scarecrow, N.O.H.A., Strung Out and Mando Diao are among the participants in the third edition of the Bucharest GreenSounds Festival which will take place between August 26 and 28 in Herastrau Park.

The event is organized by the Bucharest City Hall through creart - The Center for Creation, Art and Tradition.

On August 26, on the first day of the festival, the headliners Scarecrow will take to the stage with their unconventional style, a fusion between songs born on the cotton fields in the 20's and the urban rhythms of large cities of the 80's, a unique experiment of Blues Hip Hop that dubs itself as the "protest music of the 21st century".

Also on August 26, N.O.H.A. - Noise of Human Art - a band active since 1995 and known for their openness to unorthodox stylistic mix, joining drum&bass, world music and energy loaded grooves, will take to the stage, as will Romanian bands and artists Subcarpati, Fanas, Pistol cu Capse, Jurjak, and E.M.I.L..

The second day of the festival, August 27, will feature the American punk rockers Strung Out, as well as Mad Caddies, the latter bringing their own coherent mix of reggae, punk, ska and pop to the Bucharest stage. Joining them from Romania on the second day will be DJ Hefe, RoadkillSoda, Harlequin Jack, The Kryptonite Sparks, Cred Ca Sunt Extraterestru (e.n. - I Think I'm An Alien) as well as Vita de Vie who are celebrating this year their 20th anniversary.

The second day will be completed by Borlange-born indie rock band Mando Diao who will have the public 'dancing with somebody' by the end of the concert.

The final day promises the presence of Otros Aires, a neo-tango group from Argentina, who are set to perform an exceptional audio and visual show of classical tango peppered with electronic music. Joining them will be Koop Oscar Orchestra, a musical project from Sweden, created by Oscar Simonsson, former composer and producer for Koop, as well as The Herbaliser, the latter bringing their London-infused beats with them. Romanian bands Groove Therapy with Eugen, Otherside, Lucia & Muse Quartet, Soul Serenade, Omelette and Helen will also take to the stage on the final day of the show.
