Bucharest International Film Festival (BIFF) at its 20th edition, September 19-29

The 20th anniversary edition of the Bucharest International Film Festival (BIFF) will take place from 19-29 September and will present national premieres of international film productions.

Among the new features of the anniversary edition: the festival's duration will be extended to ten days, the introduction of an international short film competition and an award for the film's distributor in Romania, organisers say.

According to the source, during the Bucharest International Film Festival 2024, filmgoers will have the unique opportunity to explore an outstanding selection of feature films in the running for the BIFF 2024 trophy.

The international jury, made up of leading personalities from the film industry, will be tasked with choosing the winners.

A landmark in the cinema landscape, the only competition in Bucharest dedicated to feature films, BIFF is organised by the Charta Foundation and the Grigore Vasiliu Birlic Cultural Association, under the High Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
