CFA Romania about GDP evolution: Increase beyond expectations
The increase of gross GDP announced on Tuesday by the National Statistic Institute is beyond expectations in conditions in which technical recession was anticipated in Romania, according to Adrian Codirlasu, CFA Romania vicepresident.
He pointed out that data for the last quarter of the year compared to quarter 1, 2021, shows a 6.5% GDP increase, therefore better than anticipated. He also said the aspect was already present in consumption.
At the same time, he mentioned that evolutions were anticipated in the Report on inflation made by the National Bank of Romania.
