Chiritoiu: Romania will be part of tendency to take over European companies by non EU ones
Romania, as EU member state will be part of the economic tendency by which non EU companies will try to take over European commercial companies, said Bogdan Chiritoiu, the chairman of the Competition Council, at a conference on Romania's domestic output, held on Thursday.
Chiritoiu showed that Romania hopes to attract relocated European production capacities from Asia. In his opinion, Romania will have to shorten its production chains.
“Romania, as many other countries hopes these production capacities we expect to come from Asia to Europe will be stationed here. Until now Romania has not had an industrial policy, has not tried to back certain sectors, but had a liberal policy of ensuring the same facilities for everybody and let the market select areas of interest,”Chiritoiu added. He considers that after the pandemic experience, the national economy will leave room for the European economy.
