Climate Change Summit 2024 kicks off in Bucharest on Tuesday
Green transition, renewable energies, public policies and ESG policies are among the most important topics to be discussed at the Climate Change Summit over October 15-17 in Bucharest.
Debates in Bucharest bring together leaders from various fields of activity, from biodiversity and circular economy to public policies in managing natural resources, to collaborate and take action at the regional and global level. Tens of internationals experts and leaders of opinion from various fields will debate on essential topics, such as funding the energy transition, the vital role of technological innovation for sustainable cities, the importance of inter-sector collaboration between governments, the private sector and the civil society, and also the necessary public policies in combating climate change at the global level.
According to the organizers, Social Innovation Solutions, on Tuesday, October 15, on the two stages (Blue Stage and Green Stage) to be arranged for the summit there will also be presented messages from the Romanian president, Klasu Iohannis, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen (video message), the chief of the Representative Office of the European Commission in Bucharest, Ramona Chiriac, the minister of agriculture and rural development, Florin Barbu, the minister of economy, entrepreneurship and tourism, Radu Oprea, and the minister of environment, waters and forests, Mircea Fechet.
During the summit, there will be scheduled related events in more than 30 locations in the Capital City and in the region.
