Continuing collaboration between Romania and Germany in order to implement the NATO decisions adopted at the Warsaw Summit
At a meeting on Tuesday with Germany's ambassador in Bucharest Cord Meier-Klodt, Romania's Minister of Defence Mihai Fifor emphasised the importance of continuing collaboration between Romania and Germany in order to implement the NATO decisions adopted at the Warsaw Summit, as well as the continuation of making Structured Permanent Cooperation (PESCO) operational.
"In this context, the minister of national defence mentioned the NATO efforts to achieve the advanced presence of NATO in the Black Sea region and stressed Germany's support for implementing Romania's concrete initiatives," the National Defence Ministry informs in a press statement.
At the meeting, the two officials addressed current affairs on the NATO and EU agenda, as well as the prospects for intensifying bilateral co-operation, including defence co-operation.
At the same time, Fifor mentioned Romania's interest in deepening technical military cooperation with Germany by identifying and implementing projects to stimulate German investment in and know-how transfer to Romania.
