EC vice-president Andrus Ansip starts a visit to Romania

Vice-president Andrus Ansip, in charge of the digital single market will make an official visit in Romania, on April 28, 2017, the EC office in Bucharest announced.

During the visit the high European official will meet Sorin Grindeanu, the prime minister of Romania’s government, Augustin Jianu, the minister of communications and IT, Mihai Tudose, the minister of economy, Rovana Plumb, delegate minister for European funds and Cristian Cucu, secretary of state. The EC vice president will also speak with representatives of parliamentary commissions for economy and industry, European affairs, communications and IT,

The visit also includes a dialogue with citizens on the white charter on the future of Europe and means of reducing differences within EU, through digital transformation. The dialogue will take place within the annual reunion Eurosfat.

The events which conclude the series of activities are round table talks with start-up companies and parties interested in the digital sector, as well as a visit to the project “Innovation Labs 2017.”
