eJobs: 35% increase of job applications in June
Over 1.2 million job applications were recorded in June on one of the online recruiting platforms, 35% over the level reached in the same period of the previous year.
According to data centralized by eJobs Romania, over the period analyzed, most applications had in view jobs in Bucharest (about 700,000), followed by those in Cluj Napoca (over 200,000), Timisoara (172,000), Iasi and Brasov (both with about 160,000 applications).
At general level, over 1.2 million applications were recorded for jobs available on eJobs.ro, 20% more than in May 2020 and 35% over June 2019.
The fields preferred by most candidates were: retail, services, call center/BPO,IT/ telecommunications and financial banks/services. In that context, compared to previous months, there is a drop of interest in domains like medicine or pharmaceuticals, and also a considerable return of those who are looking for jobs in tourism and HoReCa.
According to the source, the age category with the highest number of applications is the one represented by candidates aged between 25 and 35, with 500,000 applications, in June. At the same time, over 300,000 applications came from people aged between 18 and 24, about 200,000 of those aged between 36 and 45, about 15,000 of people under 18.
