Experts: insurances, energy and trade are at the top of the most exposed sectors to fraud risk
The most exposed companies to fraud risk are those in insurance, energy and trade, say the Romanians experts în private investigations for the corporate environment, according to which companies in Romania must develop strategies and capacity to fight against fraud, in the context generated by the economic and sanitary crisis due to the pandemics.

Considered a young market, whose turnover would get close to 10 million euro in 2019, the market of private investigations in Romania is dominated by services destined to companies, although the agencies which offer services to natural persons represent more than 80%.
According to official statistics, 90% of the turnover of last year of the industry was made by the first ten agencies of private investigations out of the over 650 licences in the domain. Even if the Romanian legislation regulated the exertion of the profession of private investigator in 2003, when the law no.329 was adopted, services dedicated to companies started to develop after 2010, once foreign investors came in the economy – multinationals or investment funds which had acquisitions in strategic domains.
Secret Private Investigations Agency (SPIA) was set up in 2012 with Romania capital. It has 80 employees and collaborators in the whole country, with certificate and specialization in informative investigations and opera?ional surveillance.
