Finance Ministry suggests extension by a year of Program guaranteeing credits for small and medium companies
The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) suggests to extend by a year the Programme guaranteeing credits for small and medium companies, which expire on December 5, 2016, according to an emergency order published on the ministry website.
The programme was implemented for 36 months, starting on the date of the application of emergency government order 92/2013, December 5, 2013.
Two billion lei are available for the 2014-2016 period, to implement the programme. Since 2014 to the end of October 2016, 382 guarantees of a total value of 63.7 million lei were granted, allowing a financing volume of 169.9 million lei.
The programme was meant to grant facilities guaranteed by the state for credit lines granted to small and medium companies by credit institutions.
They are 50% guaranteed by the state, except for interest rates and bank commissions. The maximum value of a credit guaranteed by the state is 5,000,000 lei per small company, for a maximum period of 24 months, with possibility of extension of 12 months.
