Foreign Minister Corlatean starts a two-day official visit to China
Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean will be paying on Thursday and Friday an official visit to China at the invitation of his counterpart Yang Jiechi.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the two officials will tackle the stage of Romania - China bilateral relations on the three cooperation tiers: political and economic dialogue, and inter-human relationships - and will also discuss the guidelines for strengthening and deepening Romanian-Chinese ties.
At the same time, the two chief diplomats will exchange views on the recent developments of the main topics on the regional and international agenda.
The Romanian Foreign Minister will also meet with Chinese high officials and will also visit China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), a prestigious research and forecasting laboratory for regional and international policies, where he will meet with the institution's president, Professor Cui Liru.
The visit to the People's Republic of China is part of the constant dialogue between the two countries and occurs in the context of the excellent bilateral relations between Romania and China, governed by the comprehensive Friendship and Cooperation Partnership signed in 2004.
