ForMin Comanescu: Romania, solidary with France, engaged in the fight against terrorism

Romania's Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu on Thursday met State Secretary for European Affairs with France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development Harlem Desir to reiterate Romania's solidarity with France in the wake of the November 13 terror attacks in Paris as well as its engagement in the fight against terror.The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) reports in a press statement that discussed at the meeting of the two officials in Belgrade, on the side-lines of a ministerial council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) were aspects of the strategic partnership between Romania and France.

Comanescu and Desir also exchanged opinions on the latest developments in the EU's Eastern Neighbourhood, with Comanescu reaffirming support for the European journey of Moldova.

The Romanian foreign minister voiced satisfaction over the excellent level of Romania's relationship with France as part of their strategic partnership and agreed with Desir to deepen consultations on the Eastern Neighbourhood, says MAE.
