ForMin Melescanu, Indian ambassador Darlong about strengthening Enhanced Partnership between states
Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu had a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of India in Bucharest, Mr. Thanglura Darlong on Tuesday, on which occasion the former reiterated the interest of both countries in strengthening the Enhanced Partnership between Romania and India, informs MAE in a press release.
According to the cited source, Minister Melescanu reviewed the stage of the bilateral relations, highlighting the upward trend of the political-diplomatic dialogue, of the bilateral trade and the very good cooperation within international forums.
At the same time, the two officials addressed the main issues arising from the Romanian Foreign Affairs minister's visit to India in the context of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 5th anniversary of the Enhanced Partnership between Romania and India.
"Both parties have reiterated their interest in strengthening the Enhanced Partnership by boosting multi-level cooperation. Moreover, in the context of Romania's taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Romanian side will closely follow the issues pertaining to the deepening of cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of India," the press release further mentions.
