French Film Festival in Bucharest and 12 cities in Romania over March 21-31

Film from Cannes, Berlin, Locarno, Venice, Toronto and Annecy selections are found in the 28th edition of the French Film Festival in Romania, held over March 21-31, in Bucharest and 12 other cities in Romania.

 

Over 100 films will be shown in cinema theatres and alternate cultural areas in Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi, Arad, Brasov, Braila, Constanta, Craiova, Sfantu Gheorghe, Sibiu, Suceava and Targu Mures, organizers informed on Wednesday.

The Festival will open in Bucharest with the comedy “Une Annee Difficile”, made by Oliview Nakache and Eric Toledano. The movie belongs to the section Annual Film Panorama which regroups one of the most important recent French productions, acclaimed by crisits and the French audience.

 

Chronique d'une liaison passagere”and “Le Temps d'aimer, presented in 2022 and 2023 in the Cannes Premiere section, “Le Regne Animal”, directed by Thomas Cailey, which was presented at Un Certain Regard, next to “Simple Comme Sylvain”, awarded this year with Cesar Prize for the best foreign movie.

 

The young talents' competition proposes this year premiere films which will compete for the Public's Prize offered by the French Institute in Romania, which celebrates in 2024, 100 years since its setup.
