Head of the European Prosecutor's Office, Laura Codruta Kövesi, expected on a visit to Kishinev

Laura Codruta Kovesi, the head of the European Prosecutor’s Office is paying a visit to Kishinev between 11th and 14th July, says the media of Kishinev, quoting sources in the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, according to Deschide.md.

On the occasion of this visit, Kovesi will meet several representatives of the administration in Kishinev, including president Maia Sandu, whom she met in January 2021 in Brussels, already as head of the European Prosecutor’ s Office. Maia Sandu stated then that she wanted to collaborate with the European institution to boost reforms in the justice system of the Republic of Moldova.

Laura Codruta Kovesi will be accompanied by Marius Bulancea, who coordinates the unity of operations of the institution.

Kovesi has been, since September 2019 the head prosecutor of the European Prosecutor’s Office for a period of seven years.
