Iohannis and Timofti had a telephone conversation: the president of the Republic of Moldova was invited to pay a visit to Romania

President Klaus Iohannis had on Thursday night a telephone conversation with his Moldovan counterpart Nicolae Timofti, the two discussing about the social and political situation in Kishinev. Timofti is going to pay an official visit to Romania, at the invitation of our head of state.

According to a press release of the presidency of the Republic of Moldova,during the conversation, president Iohannis restated the fact that by the investment of the new government in Kishinev a big step was taken into overcoming the political crisis and the idea of implementation of the Agreement of Association with the European Union.

At the same time, the quoted source says that the availability of the two states for intense cooperation on a political, economic and social plan and president Timofti thanked his Romanian counterpart for the constant support which Romania offers the Republic of Moldova.

Klaus Iohannis invited Nicolae Timofti to pay an official visit to Romania, invitation which was accepted, the visit to take place in the near future.
