Leu depreciates against euro, but grows against US dollar

The national currency depreciated against the euro on Tuesday, being calculated by BNR at 4.8762 lei, on the rise by 0.04 bani (+0.01%) compared to the previous quotation of 4.9758 lei.

On the other hand, compared to the US dollar, the leu value grew, the US currency being quoted at 4.6699 lei, going down by 0.13 bani (-0.03%), compared to the previous session, when it was 4.6712 lei.

The national currency also appreciated against the Swiss franc, calculated by BNR at 5.1198 lei, dropping b 0.49 bani (-0.1%), against 5.1247 lei, the previous quotation.

One gram of gold was cheaper by 9.9068 lei (-2.8%) on Tuesday, recording a quotation of 344.5697 lei, from 354.4765 lei, as announced by the National Bank of Romania.
