MAE: Belgium included Romania in the orange zone

The ministry of foreign affairs (MAE) warns the citizens who travel to Belgium that Romania has been included in the orange zone, and the Belgian authorities can establish measures and recommend higher vigilence

MAE says that on Sunday the Belgian authorities announced the new measures regarding conditions for entering the territory of Belgium, measures which have already become effective, immediately after the moment of publication. The conditions for entering the territory aim at classifying the states where people come from in three categories: the green zone – without special measures, the orange zone – the Belgian authorities can establish specific measures ( at present higher vigilance) and the red zone – compulsory quarantine and testing when entering the country.

According to the information publicly communicated by the Belgian authorities, Romania was included on the list of the states in the orange zone. Thus, the citizens who come from Romania for touristic purposes ( non-essential travel) starting with 13th July, are recommended higher vigilance regarding the prevention and apparition of symptoms associated with the infection with COVID-19, a MAE press release says.

At the same time, MAE recommends the Romanian citizens who intend to travel to Belgium to consult the information published on the site of the Belgian authorities-- https://diplomatie.belgium.be/en
