Non-performing loans rate reaches 2.49pct at June-end

 The rate of non-performing loans (NPL) reached 2.49% at the end of June 2024, up from 2.41% in March 2024.In June 2023, the NPL ratio stood at 2.65%, according to data centralised by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).At the end of the first semester of this year, there were 32 credit institutions in Romania, including eight branches of foreign banks.
