Number of employees slightly grew in Bucharest in February 2019

The number of employees in Bucharest reached, at the end of February 2019, 1,027,060 persons, on the rise by 0.43% against the previous month, according to data centralized by the National Statistics Institute.

Average gross salary was 6,201 lei in February (6,211 lei in January), while net salary was 3,765 lei (3,763 lei in January).

On the other hand, at the end of February there were 15,661 unemployed people and the jobless rate was 1.3% and 1.4% in the case of women.

There were 484,473 pensioners in February 2019 and the average pension was 1,504 lei.
