Official: 75% of gross average salary means 4,972 lei from which contributions and taxes will be paid
Technical unemployment must not exceed 75% of the average gross salary, no more than 4,072 lei, from which contributions for social security, health and taxes will be paid, said the secretary of state in the Labor Ministry, Alin Ignat , in charge with coordinating the activity of the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS) and of county agencies declared on Tuesday.
“Contributions for social security, health insurance and taxes will be paid from that amount. The way in which these contributions will be paid, the deadline when they will be paid will be established by a joint order of the labor and public finance ministers,”said Ignat, at a press conference.
These payments will be made in a bank account, and the deadline is ten days after receiving the request.
According to the official, requests will be made online and tax payers can request additional data from and info line organized by ANPIS. People who obtain incomes from author rights can apply for technical unemployment in the same conditions provided for categories presented before.
“A last category is that of persons who obtain incomes from author rights, as provided by law 8/1996: writers, photographers, graphic artists, composers and other categories, 75% of the gross average salary, from which contributions and taxes are paid. People in this category make a statement, an application and present a bank statement with the number of the account where the payment will be made in ten days since the presentation of documents,”the secretary of state said.
Labor minister Violeta Andrei said at a press conference on Tuesday, that technical unemployment will not be paid by employers, but from government funds. She appealed to employers to avoid a sudden cessation of the labor contract with employees as now they can cover from government funds the difficult situation they go through.
The emergency order on technical unemployment was issued on Monday in the Official Monitor.
