Parliament: Budgets of many institutions voted in commissions
Almost all articles of the budget bill were voted by joint budget-finance commissions on Thursday. There were talks about the National Audiovisual Council (CNA) budget. However the money for special pensions of MPs were still in the Senate and Chamber of Deputies budgets.
Some articles of the 2021 budget law will be voted when all annexes are voted, most likely on Saturday. The Social Democratic Party(PSD-opposition) amendments to the text of the law, such as birth tickets, 5% of GDP for education , financing incubators in universities, a.o were rejected.
Lucian Heius, secretary of state in the Finance Ministry said, for each amendment, that he did not back the amendment presented, while in other cases he added “it does not belong to the budget law,” and “the financing source is not clearly identified”, according to the case.
Institutions that has budgets voted in the joint budget-finance commissions were: the Presidential Administration, Senate, Chamber of Deputies, Court of Accounts, Constitutional Court, Legislative Council, People's Advocate, CNA, National Council Studying Securitate Archives, Agerpres, Romanian Academy, Competition Council, National Council Against Discrimination, Foreign Intelligence Service, Protection and Guard Service.
PSD members voted certain budgets.
