Piano and accordion  recital at the 7th edition of Mogosoaia Clasic Fest

The 7th edition of Mogosoaia Clasic Fest, an event organized by Bucharest City Hall, through Brancoveanu Palaces Cultural Centre and ProValores Association, ends on June 3, 2018, with two very attractive recitals. The recital of the child wonder of Romanian piano music, Eva Garet begins at 12 a.m., while at 1.00 p.m. there is the signal concert of Romanian Palace Music Tour, held over September 22-30, starring accordionist Fernando Mihalache.

Eva Garet will present a special program made of pieces by Handel, Chopin, Chaminade, Saint-Saens, Granados, Liszt and Enescu.

Accordionist Fernando Mihalache will play works from Bach to Richard Galliano, from Mozart to Eugen Doga and Astor Piazzolla, prefigurating the program of Romanian Palaces Music Tour, in areas of historic and architectural value: Peles Castle, Neamt Stronghold, Sturdza Palace, Suceava Palace, Palace of Culture and Cuza Palace in Iasi, Manuc Bei Palace (Moldova), Cincu Palace of Tecuci, Galati Episcopal Palace.

Eva Garet, 12, is a student at George Enescu National Music College, where she studies with professor Mihaela Zamfirescu. She had recitals at the Romanian Athenaeum, at Arcus Culture Centre, at Remember Enescu Foundation and Millennium Piano Foundation. Last year she won first place at Ricardo Vines Piano Contest in Lleida, Spain and Dinu Lipatti trophy at the contest Road to Celebrity. This year she made her debut as soloist, in Concerto 23 for piano and orchestra by Mozart, collaborating with Radio Chamber Orchestra and Ion Dumitrescu Philharmonic in Ramnicu Valcea.

Fernando Mihalache is one of the few Romanian accordion players who plays in concert halls. He obtained the title of doctor of music at the National Music University in Bucharest, in 2011. He participated in George Enescu Festival, Jazz Blues & More Festival, “The Sound of Spring”, etc. “Traffic Strings” is one of his most important projects, materialised with a CD in 2009. Next to vibraphonist Alexandru Anastasiu he laid the basis of Accord Vibes, a unique project in Romania. Another interesting project by association of flute, accordion, piano and double bass and the chosen repertoire is Maxim Quartet. Mihalache is now teaching an accordion class at the National Music University Bucharest.
